Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of Arsenopyrite on Quartz from a place called "Zabytaya" (according to the label) near Dal'negorsk. The piece features sharp, well-formed, silvery, metallic "wedge"-shaped crystals of Arsenopyrite measuring up to 9 mm sitting aesthetically on GEMMY colorless Quartz matrix. Fine quality all around and if you collect sulfides or minerals of Dal'negorsk, you can't afford to miss out on this one, as they are rarely available on the market. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#13126). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
