Item Description
A STUNNING and beautiful plate richly covered with lustrous atacamite crystal pinwheels. The SCINTILLATING, gemmy, dark green radiating blades nicely compliment the lighter green needles on this very showy piece from the Type Locality region - the La Farola Mine in the Atacama Region of Chile. Usually the crystals are flat and lack such 3-dimensionality from here. This is an OUTSTANDING example of this copper chloride species from this well-known locale. Ex Jaime Bird Collection.
