Large, sharp augite crystals are RARE from famed Franklin. Usually, it is just a rock forming mineral. This is an impressive, sharp, prismatic 4-sided crystal with mottled grayish-brown color and moderate luster. A side car crystal embedded in one side adds character. Complete all-around. The termination and two sides are pristine. The other two sides are partially contacted. This is an important, probably old-time specimen from Franklin.
