Item Description

A fantastic, aesthetic and highly displayable small cabinet specimen of the rare and highly sought after calcium zinc arsenate species Austinite from the world famous Ojuela Mine in Mexico. To me, this style of specimen is about as aesthetic as it gets with a large isolate radiating "spheroid" of gemmy, lustrous, soft greenish-yellow colored Austinite aesthetically perched atop the contrasting Limonite matrix. Additionaly spherical groups of Austinite can be seen on nearly every side of the piece. The largest Austinite group measures 2.2 cm across at it longest dimension. The main group at the top of the piece is undamaged, though a bit of roughness can be seen on some of the other Austinite groups. It stil doesn't take away from the overall high-end caliber and visual appeal of this classic material from this world-famous locale. Very hard to find on the market todays, especially in this size and quality. Priced at $3,500 in the inventory.
