Item Description

A fine, rather gemmy, very sharp, highly lustrous, well-formed, tabular, "wedge"-shaped crystal of clove colored Axinite-(Fe) from a recent find. The piece is from an "Alpine-type" "kleft" deposit in the high mountains of Pakistan, very similar to the better known "Alpine-type" Axinites from Russia, or true Alpine Axinites from Europe. This is a very good sized crystal of Axinite regardless of locality or species! The crystal is in very good condition, with a bit of edge wear and a spot on the front where another crystal once grew. The luster, color and gemminess is what really draws the eye here.
