Item Description
An old-time classic, this rich Bisbee specimen is 100% Azurite, three dimensional and all around. The Azurite is almost spongy in texture and varies from zones of lustrous, sparkly microcrystals that range from 1-2 mm to areas that are botryoidal. These botryoids are a deep, blackish-blue with good luster, and they range in size from 2-3 mm. Amid the search for copper, gold, and silver, the town of Bisbee was founded in 1880, and many of the specimens from there, particularly the copper minerals, have a particular allure for collectors. This is an unusual style for Bisbee.
