Item Description

A beautiful and aesthetic specimen from recent finds in China. The striking, vuggy front of the piece has lustrous, navy-blue azurite crystals beautifully accented by a cluster of velvet malchite balls. The whole striking specimen is bedded with alternating bands of crystallized azurite lining vugs, banded azurite and banded malachite. The side and back have a totally different look, than the front. The quality of the azurite is outstanding. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction to this very bright specimen. Chinese azurites of this quality compare very favorably with Bisbee material. High praise. Valued at $300-400.
