Item Description

A fine and showy specimen of this material from an old 1960s-era find at this famous locality in Zambia. Many of these specimens are mostly massive azurite and malachite, this but interesting piece hosts parallel-banded, discrete azurite botryoids of two varieties: matte-finish, lighter blue botryoids on the lower half; and lustrous, darker royal-blue, botryoids on the upper right. This is a rich specimen, consisting entirely of azurite and malachite (virtually no matrix). The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.. Rare locality material from the Dan Brock collection
