Azurite and Malachite with Dolomite and Tennantite

Fine combination specimen of classic "electric blue azurite" from the the famous mines of Touissit, Morocco. The centerpiece is a lustrous, deep-blue, 2.5 cm Azurite that rises up from the matrix in perfect display. Striated, with a bit of the blue fire that Azurites can be coveted for, the main crystal is escorted by a few smaller, and equally attractive, Azurites that grew along the matrix. Bright green, undulating Malachite, tan Dolomites, and gun-metal grey Tennantite all add significantly to the visual contrasts. Few localities in the world produce Azurite of the quality that we can see from Touissit, and this is an aesthetic, representative and, in numerous ways, an interesting specimen. Valued $1500. Note the combination is super rare for Morocco: tennantite we would normally associate with tsumeb; and yet the dolomite is indicative that this is not from Tsumeb but from Morocco.
