Item Description

A rich specimen of nearly solid blue botryoidal Azurte from the lesser known Apex Mine in Washington County, Utah. Under magnification, the "balls" are very attractive. Minor green Malachite can be seen on the specimen as well. If you collect Utah minerals, worldwide Malachite or just hard to find localities for well known species, don't miss out on this one. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#13097). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
