Item Description
Azurite from Tsumeb is one of the most classic and highly sought after species on the planet. These specimens are no longer being mined, and they have some of the most distinctive and attractive forms of any mineral. This piece features a few very sharp, translucent, electric blue color (when backlit), bladed crystals of Azurite which are aesthetically flaring off a matrix of green Bayldonite matrix. The largest Azurite crystal measures 1.3 cm, and most of them are undamaged. A very attractive small miniature specimen, and good quality for this historic locality. Tsumeb specimens are rising in value by the minute it seems, and this piece is valued at $600.
