Item Description

Azurite from Tsumeb is one of the most classic and highly sought after species on the planet. These specimens are no longer being mined, and they have some of the most distinctive and attractive forms of any mineral. This piece features a few sharp, rather lustrous, "sword"-shaped, fairly thick, deep royal blue color crystals of Azurite which are aesthetically intergrown and associated with green Bayldonite. The piece actually comes with a custom acrylic base (not pictured). Despite a little bit of roughness, the piece is in really good condition overall and several of the Azurite crystals (the largest of which measures 5.2 cm) are undamaged. A very attractive small cabiennt specimen, and great quality for this historic locality. Tsumeb specimens are rising in value by the minute it seems, and this piece is valued at $3000.
