Item Description

It wasn't that long ago that there were a good amount of these world-class Azurites on the market, but they have seemingly dried up. We have been told that the oxidation zone at the mine is finished, and these Azurites may never be seen again. It's truly unfortunate to see the disappearance of some of the best quality Azurite specimens to come out of any locality in decades. This specimen is a fine quality miniature, featuring excellent, thick, tabular/bladed, very sharp, mirror-like, reflective, deep blue crystals associated with minor forest green, chatoyant Malachite and a bit of attached white Dickite on the base. The largest individual Azurite is doubly-terminated and measures 1.6 cm long. Some of the crystals are actually thin enough in areas that they are GEMMY when backlit, showing an electric indigo hue, which almost looks more purple than blue if that makes sense. Very little damage and super high quality Azurites crystals. Do not miss out on getting your hands on a fine quality display specimen of these beloved and now hard to find Azurites from what will go down as a world-class locality in northern Mexico Valued at $1,250.
