Item Description

A classic example of the famous Azurites from Chessy, which is one of the most classic localities in all of Europe. It also happens to be the TYPE LOCALITY for Azurite ! This piece is a classic "floater" "rosette"-shaped group of featuring dark blue bladed crystals of Azurite on all sides. This is a good quality thumbnail, and it is very difficult for collectors to obtain fine quality specimens of this material today. This specimen was mined circa mid 1800s. A great specimen for any collector, a collector of European classics, or anyone who appreciates secondary ore minerals.
