This is an attractive miniature specimen of azurite on malachite from the prolific Liufengshan Mine. It features sharp, lustrous, deep blue azurite blades with hints of desirable electric-blue gemminess on the sculptural, banded and chatoyant malachite matrix. The luster and color of the azurite is certainly impressive, and rivals Bisbee pieces. A bit of periphery wear is only a modest detraction. A worthwhile Chinese azurite and malachite from this contemporary classic locality.
