Item Description

The recent finds of the stunningly sharp and lustrous azurite crystals from the Milpillas Mine of Sonora, Mexico were one the highlights of recent Denver and Tucson Shows and was documented in a recent issue of the Mineralogical Record. The azurites are compared favorably with the best of worldwide localities, such as Tsumeb, Touissit and Bisbee. This EXCELLENT piece features a doubly terminated, sharp, highly lustrous, striated, royal-blue to midnight-blue azurite crystal very nicely wrapped in malachite. HIGHLY representative of this recent find. Lightly contacted on the right side, but certainly not a detraction, as you can see. Valued at $400-500.
