Item Description

An OLD-TIME, sculptural solid crust of two-toned nubby azurite botryoids from the famous Copper Queen Mine at Bisbee. Sparkly royal-blue botryoids host several vugs lined with smaller sparkly navy-blue botryoids on both sides of the piece. Found before 1910, this classic and excellent old-timer is from the Kay Robertson Collection # 484 and was acquired from Scott Williams in the 1950s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
