Item Description

Here we have a wonderful ''rose'' specimen of Azurite from the Oumjrane Area in Morocco. This piece dates back to circa 2000 and is a wonderful example of this lesser seen material. The piece is filled with notably sharp, well-formed, "wedge"-shaped gorgeous blue colored crystals of Azurite measuring up to 1.0 cm flaring out in every direction from the center. There are bits of attached host rock matrix on the piece, but it is crystallized on all sides with no major damage that I can see with the naked eye. Priced in our inventory at $1,200. This specimen comes to us from the illustrious collection of Jack Halpern of San Francisco, California. Jack is one of the most beloved figures in the mineral world.
