Item Description

A very attractive full miniature display specimen of Azurite from the famous contemporary locality at the Milpillas Mine. This piece features FINE quality, sharp, incredibly lustrous, deep blue, "sword"-shaped crystals of Azurite associated with beautiful contrasting snow white Dickite matrix forming a really eye-catching specimen. A couple of the Azurite crystals are actually doubly-terminated are slightly gemmy near the edges when backlit, showing a glowing indigo hue. The main crystal on the front of the piece has a separation mark, where it was once intergrown with another Azurite crystal, and with the exception of a few small nicks, the piece is in good shape and very attractive in person. The piece was priced in the inventory at $1,200. It's rare to find Azurite crystals with such fantastic glistening luster and robust larger crystals like this. A lot of Azurite you'll see, while beautiful and well-crystallized, does not have this kind of luster. Now that we're told the locality is finished producing this material, scoop these up while you can get the. They are truly some of the finest crystallized specimens of Azurite to come out of any locality in decades.
