Item Description

A really attractive cabinet sized display specimen of the now famous Azurite specimens from the contemporary Milpillas Mine in Mexico. This piece features excellent, quality, sharp, highly lustrous, deep blue, blocky crystal Azurite measuring up to a full 1.0 cm sitting associated with beautifully complimenting forest green, semi-velvety / chatoyant radial groups of Malachite on matrix. The Azurite crystals are slightly gemmy near the edges when backlit. There are some imperfections around the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall, so it isn't 100% pristine, but the majority of the crystals are in great shape and very attractive in person. The piece was priced in the inventory at $1,250. Great quality overall, and this material will only increase in value as the years go by, especially now that we're told the locality is possibly finished producing this material. It's some of the best crystallized Azurite to come out of any locality in decades.
