Item Description

The famous Milpillas Mine seems to be finished, but during its time, it produced some truly impressive, superb quality Azurite specimens, which will go down among the finest examples of the species ever found. This miniature specimen features several fine quality, very lustrous, sharp, gorgeous deep blue colored monoclinic crystals of Azurite measuring up to 2.1 cm which are lightly dusted with a bit of mint green colored Malachite on very minor matrix. The contrast of the Malachite on the Azurite is a classic combo and it makes for a nice distinction as some Azurites are untouched and really shine with the superior luster. There is a tiny bit of vibrant color that can be seen along the edges of the piece when backlit. These specimens are becoming more and more difficult to find now that the locality is done producing, so be sure to pick them up while they're still available on the market.
