Item Description

A very attractive small cabinet display specimen of Azurite on Malachite from the prolific Liufengshan mine. It features deep blue Azurite crystals which are sitting atop botryoidal and banded forest green color Malachite on matrix. The color contrast is just beautiful and truly resembles classic material from places like Bisbee, Arizona. There is actually a Malachite growth on the piece that looks like a "turret" from a castle, as there are several "fingers" pushed up around each other in a circle. If you collect Chinese minerals, secondary ore minerals, or if you just like Azurite and Malachite association specimens, don't miss out on this one. I've seen hundreds of these pieces, but this one stood out to me. I really like the fact that the piece can be viewed from several angles, giving the viewer a unique perspective each direction. These specimens are certainly among the most celebrated contemporary Azurite specimens out there. Valued at $2200.
