Item Description

A classic specimen of old Bisbee material featuring "rosettes" of blue Azurite which are associated with botryoidal mint green colored Malachite on minor matrix. Good quality, and very attractive for this historic material from Bisbee, which is regarded as some of the finest Azurite / Malachite specimens in the world. Very old material, considering the VERY early entry number in the collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#35). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
