Item Description

A great association specimen from this famous copper producing region in Arizona. Morenci has given collectors some iconic and beautiful Azurite and Malachite specimens, and this piece is a good miniature display piece featuring a beauitful and lustrous "rosette" of deep royal blue color Azurite (beautiful when viewed in reflected light), associated with soft green Malachite on matrix. The "rosette" measures 1.4 cm across. Great balance, visual appeal, and the association make this a very worthwhile piece for any collector. Please note that there is a small nick on the side of the Azurite. Ex Harold Urish collection, who obtained the piece from Wayne Chartier on May 22, 1996. Valued at $350.
