Item Description

This is a striking and beautiful specimen of sparklingly lustrous Azurite "balls" which are partially pseudomorphing to Malachite on gossan matrix from BRAZIL of all places. We think of gem crystals or even Gold or Diamonds when it comes Brazil, but secondary ore minerals are seldom seen. The famous locality at Seabra has given collectors some really impressive specimens that remind me of specimens from Arizona. This specimens was mined in the early 1990 's. It's in great shape with the largest "ball" meauring up to 1.1 cm across. This piece is really choice and showy and displays well from several angles. Priced at $500. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
