Item Description

A classic example of the famous material from Morenci. This specimen features several blocky, rich midnight blue, sharp, lustrous crystals of Azurite, some of which are partially pseudomorphing to Malachite associated with velvety radiating "balls" of Malachite on oxidized matrix. There is a beautiful 1.7 cm "rose" pseudomorph on the upper portion of the specimen that looks beautiful up close. This area has produced some of the most attractive Azurites from any locality in the world. Obviously, Bisbee is the premier Arizona locality for Azurite, but Morenci produced some really eye-catching specimens over the years. A great piece for any fan of secondary ore minerals, Azurite and Malachite combos or minerals of Arizona.
