Balangeroite (Type Locality)

Item Description

A classic example of bronze-colored, fibrous Balangeroite from the type locality, the Poggio San Vittore asbestos mine. A high-quality miniature, this should be appreciated not only for its rarity but the exceptional splaying of the fibers at one end that creates such a good aesthetic. Originally in the collection of well-known French collector Bernard Brunet, it was acquired by Kay in 1985 and was #10,607 in her collection.
