Item Description

This specimen is at leat 30 years old, and possibly older as it resembles other Barites from Hartsel that I have seen which were found in the 1960's and 1970's. This area has produced some of the best known "blue" Barites from Colorado, and these specimens are sought after by Colorado collectors. Here we have a nice display piece featuring a pair of sharp, lustrous, bladed, soft blue color GEMMY Barite crystals. Ex Brian Kosnar Collection. A good thumbnail of this hard to find material.
