Item Description

Barite on fluorite specimens are an uncommon occurrence from China. Lustrous, translucent, angular, tabular, amber barite prisms to 1.0 cm are preferentially deposited on same-facing crystal faces of the lustrous and translucent, green to gray, fluorite cubes. Patches of drusy calcite micro-rhombs are also preferentially deposited on fluorite crystal faces. A large, showy and excellent, uncommon combination piece from this well-known locale. Rich purple fluorescence. 3.7 pounds or 1.7 kilos.
