Item Description

Barite specimens of ANY type are very uncommon from the many barite mines of the Cartersville District of Georgia, but are EXTREMELY RARE in this quality and size from the PAGA Mine. Stout, glassy, intergrown, pastel-green, spearpoints form a showy and striking CABINET specimen. This very fine piece is complete all-around and pristine. There is a brown coating on one side and the back. Outstanding and rare material, that looks like classic barite from Cumbria, but its not. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. Older material. Valued at $500.
