Item Description

A beautiful and hard to find combo from the famous Pohla Mine featuring sharp, lustrous, prismatic, rich golden colored crystals of Barite measuring up to 2.2 cm long which are associated with minor dark purple Fluorite. The piece is in excellent condition all around (only a few minor nicks) and is actually quite showy for what it is. It's not easy to find stark purple Fluorite with Barite from this mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11776). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
