Item Description

A very fine large tabular barite crystal from Muddy Creek, one of Colorado's finest localities for the species. The translucent, pretty silver-blue crystal has bright pearlescent lustre. Two of the three outer edges have typical for the locale chalky secondary overgrowths, with the third face having striking "sandwich-like" zoning. Formerly in the J.Taylor Collection. An excellent, uncommon two-sided Colorado classic valued by the former dealer at $350.
