Item Description

A striking, 2.8 cm, golden barite crystal is dramatically set on the sculptural brecciated shale matrix covered with drusy calcite on this excellent miniature from Elk Creek. The gemmy, tapered golden amber crystal has a textbook sharp chisel termination with frosted faces. The prism faces are mostly water-clear with some frosted areas. The barite is complete all-around and essentially pristine. A trivial termination edge bruise is out-of-sight on the back. A classic and very showy Elk Creek barite miniature.
