Item Description
An impressive stout 5.6 x 3.5 x 2.7 cm elongated barite prism with a striking modified chisel termination dominates this aesthetic and excellent 360-degree small cabinet from this famous Sardinia locale. The angled crystal on one side is doubly terminated and is 3.8 cm long. The very glassy, highly lustrous, translucent crystals are honey-yellow to tan. The two major crystals are pristine. The bit of noted basal periphery wear on one side is certainly only modest detraction. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. Classic, choice and sculptural Silius barite.
