Striking parallel-growth jackstraw clusters of glassy tabular composite gray crystals totally cover the mounded matrix of nearly solid barite on this very showy and excellent small cabinet. A RARE, old 1700s museum specimen, according to the label of respected Czech specialist and collector Josef Vajdak. Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named. Priced at $200 years ago, it is worth more today.
