Item Description
Striking, very glassy, water-clear windowpanes of tabular yellow barite crystals with dramatic beveled edges are very aesthetically set on the topline of the sculptural, 3-dimensional small matrix crust of intergrown barite blades densely covered with lustrous, pastel-pink dolomite rhombs. The impressive large well-placed, dominating barite is 4.0 x 3.5 x 7 mm. Ex Richard Rossi Collection. Richard is a Senior Fellow of the Mineralogical Record. An excellent, very sculptural and rich barite and dolomite combination from the mid-2000s finds in Peru with a prominent large crystal.
