Baryte on Stibnite (rare style)

Two generations of baryte crystals cover a sculptural, arborescent, 360-degree spray of stibnite crystals on this RARE and showy combination from the historic Baia Sprie area. The stibnite blades, to about 3.5 cm, are totally covered with tiny, glassy, scintillating, tabular, first generation baryte crystals. A few larger, water-clear gem, second generation window panes, to 1.0 cm on edge, are aesthetically clustered in the middle of this remarkable and highly unusual combination. This ancient precious metal-polymetallic area was mined continuously from the 14th century until 2006. A unique looking baryte and stibnite combination, we have not seen another like it. Remarkably complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only very trivial bruising near the base.
