Item Description

Bazzite is the RARE scandium analogue of beryl found in few localities worldwide in miarolitic cavities in granites, granite pegmatites and in Alpine veins associated with pegmatitic minerals. A 2.0 cm, deep blue, gemmy and lustrous bazzite crystal is aesthetically set in a 3.5 cm, quartz-lined vug in granitic gneiss matrix. This is a large and VERY UNCOMMON crystal for this rare beryl species and hails from mineralized clefts on Gjaidtroghohe Mountain in the Hohe Tauren Mountains of Austria. SELDOM available on the market! Ex Mullane Coll.
