Benitoite - Large, DT, floater crystal

Item Description

An exceptionally large, doubly terminated, floater, benitoite crystal from the famous Dallas Gem Mine. The opaque crystal has textbook trigonal shape and is lustrous, blue-gray. The crystal is included with crossite, a discontinued amphibole varietal name. This is a pristine, complete all-around floater, with one side being contacted, but having no damage, per se. A classic and striking, large crystal from this noted locale.
