Item Description

Beraunite is an uncommon iron phosphate. Fibrous rust-red radial clusters of sparkly beraunite needles in nodules are set in the hefty bog iron ore CABINET matrix. The bladed radial clusters of starkly contrasting yellow needles filling a vug may either be beraunite or cacoxenite, another iron phosphate. Old-time, rich and excellent material from this classic, abandoned and small iron mine. Ex Dennis Mullane Collection.
