Item Description

A good quality specimen featuring attractive, sharp, well-formed, cream colored Bertrandite crystals measuring up to 5 mm with minor cubic Pyrite on a single, gemmy, slightly smoky Quartz prism. Good crystallzied Bertrandites are not common, and certainly worthwhile for anybody who collects rare minerals in good display quality specimens. This locality might be best known for its attractive purple Creedite specimens, but for a short time in the 1990s, it produced some really attractive Bertrandites. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10855). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
