Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of Bertrandite from Stoneham, Maine. I've never had a piece of this material to offer in the auctions, and frankly, I can't remember seeing another one outside of this piece. A few layered blades of pearly, translucent, white Bertrandite measuring up to 8 mm are associated with blue Beryl on Smoky Quartz matrix. A great rare association specimen of this classic pegmatite material from Maine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5398). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
