Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are EXTREMELY RARE from this obscure San Diego County pegmatite mine, first claimed in 1904 (MINDAT). The El Molino Mine is known to have produced radiated crystal groups of beryl crystals and this is an outstanding miniature matrix example. Gemmy and lustrous, sharply terminated, colorless, hexagonal crystals are beautifully and aesthetically clustered on this bit of matrix. Complete all-around and pristine, this is a superb and RARE 360-degree matrix beryl miniature from this locale. It was probably mined by then mine owner, Norm Dawson, in the 1950s to 1980s. The mine has been in an American Indian reservation, since the early 1990s. A MUST for the San Diego County pegmatite or species collector. Value???
