Item Description

Aquamarine from Pakistan is certainly among the best-known and truly inspiring examples of this blue variety of Beryl in the world. The impressive amount of top quality crystals that have been found in the last 30 years or so is sensational, whether they were found in the famous Shigar Valley or nearby Chumar Bakhoor close to Nagar, which is one of the most well-known localities for Aquamarine in Pakistan outside of Shigar. This piece features a few glassy, very sharp and well-formed, textbook hexagonal prisms measuring up to 3.9 cm with that classic icy blue color associated with bladed silvery-beige color Muscovite. The crystals are VERY gemmy, and fine quality to boot with no major damage I can find. The overall presentation and amazingly high luster of the main Aquamarine crystal really sets this piece apart from others from Chumar Bakhoor. Valued $2,000.
