Item Description

Robust and sculptural 360-degree terminated beryllonite crystal from Paprok. All sides of the milky white, translucent crystal are multiply twinned forming interesting "cogwheels" with parallel ridges and grooves. Beryllonite is a rare Na-Be phosphate found in granitic and alkali pegmatites. Paprok produced some of the finest examples in the early to mid-1990s and this is a choice specimen. This fine example is illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery of the species and locale. Striking dayglow-green color under SW UV light - an unexpected bonus!
