Item Description

A classic and striking, large fluorite from Illinois. Beautiful, glassy, tranlucent, rich amber fluorite cubes to 5.7 cm are strikingly, preferentially included with patches of purple fluorite. Visually most unusual! A few fluorite faces are peppered with tiny calcites, as a nifty accent. The piece has a classic purple core. In excellent shape, overall, with trivial edge wear and the modest periphery wear being only minor detractions. Rich purple fluorescence. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
