Item Description
The famous pegmatites at Virgem da Lapa produced a striking NEW find of tourmalines around Christmas, 2009. The body of the gemmy and lustrous, flattened crystal is a pleasing bottle-green with striking, contrasting, teal-blue zones. The lustrous, complex pyramidal terminations is opaque super dark green. The crystal is complete all-around and very nearly pristine, with only a very trivial bit of termination edgewear. A beautiful, highly representative tourmaline from the new find. 5 grams. Valued $400
