Item Description

A classic and colorful, bi-colored, doubly terminated tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. The central part of the translucent, lustrous, well-striated, beauty is a pleasing variable olive-green. One termination has classic, "Himalaya pink" with a bit of green and embedded feldspar. The other, gemmier, complex, pinacoidal termination is a very pleasing apple-green and there is a partial healed zone at the base of the apple-green. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine, with only very trivial termination edgewear. A highly representative and very colorful tourmaline from this noted locale. 81 grams. Ex Hubert de Monmonier & University of Arizona Museum Collections (definitely an older piece). Valued at $800-1000.
