A classic Bixbyite and Topaz association specimen from the famous Thomas Range in Utah. Aside from Red Beryl, this is the most sought after and recognizable mineral from the area. This piece hosts a 1.0 cm Bixbyite crystal which is the focal point as it has sharp, lustrous faces with the classic modifications along the edges. This rare Iron Manganese Oxide is not seen is fine crystallized specimens very often these days, and these are among the most classic of species from the western United States. The piece comes with a label from the famous and recently deceased mineral dealer, Larry Conklin. Valued at $1200.
