Australia is obviously the prolific producer of Opals in the world, especially the famous locality of Lightning Ridge, where some of the finest Black Opals are found. This "Round Cabochon" cut stone features beautiful reflections of electric green, gold, yellow and pink which are sitting against a grey background. The vibrant color of the Opal against the background makes for a lovely gem, which would do well in a pendant or loose as a great addition to your gem collection.
